Oh yeah, Mari.
Mari is like concentrated crack. Pretty much everything weird about the second movie happens because of Mari. I’m sure that’s supposed to mean something, possibly about fandom, but it’s honestly just confusing. She doesn’t mesh with ANYTHING. I hope they explain her in the next one.

Maybe it’s framerate? I mean, I can’t tell that Shamshel’s leg-thingies are CGI when they’re paused, it’s mainly that they move much more fluidly from position to position than you really get with traditional animation. So maybe when the fortifications extend, they haven’t corrected the extension to match the very, very slight choppiness of traditional animation...

The trouble with most of my Make This More...
